It is a Chinese stainless with roughly 0.9% carbon and 18% chromium, which makes it corrosion-resistant and easy to sharpen, but its carbide structure limits how long the edge lasts between touch-ups. Is M390 better than S35VN for edge retention?

Why does my budget knife not hold an edge?
