Thunderbird V — Verdant CustosGrowth Marked by Time Four years in, we chose Thunderbird to mark how far we have come. For this edition, we explored Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth within the realm of Light and Shadow. Each element carries its own nature, shaped by the balance between clarity and depth, motion and restraint. Verdant Custos is the wood expression of the seven. Thunderbird ID card personally signed by designer Yue The Blade The 3.46" M390 blade balances edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. A compound grind combines tip stability with efficient slicing. The blade is acid washed and stonewashed. The darker, worn-in finish complements the warmer tone of the titanium handle and helps soften the appearance of marks from regular use. Antique Brasswash Titanium The titanium handle is acid washed and stonewashed to create a darker, aged finish. A tree-ring pattern is then CNC machined into the surface, revealing cleaner lines against the weathered base. The machining adds texture and gives the handle more depth. Vanchor Lock® and Multiple Deployment The Vanchor Lock® provides secure lockup and smooth operation. Open Thunderbird V with the front flipper, back flipper, thumb hole, or by holding the lock button and flicking the blade open. The titanium pocket clip and slightly extended titanium backspacer complete the build. The backspacer forms an integrated lanyard point and carries the Morse code for “V,” a subtle nod to the Vanchor Lock®.
